Creating An Account

How do I create an LifeMix account?
Once you have LifeMix installed on your mobile device, choose "Get Started" after the screen loads up, then create your account.
*You must be at least 13 years old to create an LifeMix account.

How can I make my LifeMix password strong?
When you create a new password, keep in mind:
- Long passwords are typically more secure.
- Your password shouldn't be your email, phone number, or birthday.
- Your LifeMix password should be unique compared to passwords on other platforms you may use.
- Be sure you will be able to remember your password but make it difficult for others to guess.

Why am I being asked to add my email for sign-up?
In the case you forget your password, you'll need an updated email address to reset it. As well as suggesting people you may know so you can connect with them on LifeMix.

Why was my username rejected during sign-up?
There may be another Mind already on the LifeMix network with that username, we ask that you respect our LifeMixer community when choosing a username.

I didn't receive the confirmation email from LifeMix to confirm my email address
If you created an LifeMix account with an email, we sent a confirmation link to that email. If you can't find your confirmation email:
- Check your junk mail folder. If you're using Gmail, check your Social emails
- Make sure that you entered the correct email. If you entered the wrong email, you can change it and send the email again.
Your Profile

Add and Edit Your Profile Info
To change any profile info, on your profile screen select "Edit", you will be able to edit your display name, profile photo, username, and bio from this screen.

How do I make my account private?
Go into your settings, go to the "My Account" section, here you will go to the "Private Account" slider to switch between a public or private account
Browse Feeds

How do I browse between feeds?
On the Home tab, in the upper right, you will see the "Browse Feeds" icon which is on the left of the camera icon. By clicking this icon, you will be taken to the Browse Feeds screen.

For You Feed
Explore our "For You" feed that's "Trending Content Built For You", you can create and/or enjoy Headliners, Classics, & Mind Clips.

Top Minds Feed
Explore our "Top Minds" feed where you can enjoy content from Influencers & Celebrities, you can create and/or enjoy Headliners, Classics, & Mind Clips.

Following Feed
Explore our "Following" feed where you can follow what you love, you can create and/or enjoy Headliners, Classics, & Mind Clips.

Originals Feed
Explore our "Originals" feed where you can be proud to be original, you can create and/or enjoy Originals and/or FreeMinds, this feed has NO COMMENTS.
Family Feed

What is the Family Feed?
The family feed is where you can add up to 25 of your family members to enjoy an ad-free & private experience while sharing Headliners created exclusively for the Family & Crew Feeds.

How do I add my family to my Family Feed?
On your family feed go to the upper right icon to the left of the camera icon, this icon will take you to your Family list, here is where you can add and/or remove family members to your Family Feed.
*We recommend only inviting users that are your family
Crew Feed

What is the Crew Feed?
The crew feed is where you can add up to 25 of your closest friends to enjoy an ad-free & private experience while sharing Headliners created exclusively for the Family & Crew Feeds.

How do I add my closest friends to my Crew Feed?
On your crew feed go to the upper right icon to the left of the camera icon, this icon will take you to your Crew list, here is where you can add and/or remove your closest friends to your Crew Feed.
*We recommend only inviting users that are your closest friends
Friending

How do I find and add friends on LifeMix?
- You can find friends on your Explore Minds screen, by clicking the add friend icon, you will follow them right away if they're a public account, if they're a private account, a follow request will be sent
- You can search for other Minds on the Explore Minds & Launches screen
- By clicking on someone's profile you will be able to follow them, or send a follow request

Minds You May Know
We may suggest Minds you should follow if you have friends in common with them, this is a common reason for suggesting other Minds to follow.

Unfriending or Blocking Someone
- To unfriend someone go to their profile and select "Unfollow", then confirm
- To block a user click on the two-dot option on post or on their profile, on the drop-down select "Block"
Headliners

Go to the camera icon in the top right of the feed screen, once there select the "Headliners" camera on the content choices slider.

Is a Headliner a photo and/or video?
Headliners can be photo and/or video post, with a 3 minute video maximum.

Where can I post a Headliner?
You can post a Headliner to your Following Feed, Family Feed, & Crew Feed.
*If you're a Top Mind, you can upload to the Top Minds Feed

In what ways can I interact with a Headliner?
Headliners throughout the public feeds allow you to Like, Comment, and Launch Headliners.
Classics

Go to the camera icon in the top right of the feed screen, once there select the "Classics" camera on the content choices slider.

Classics are only video posts, with a 1-min video maximum.

You can post a Classic to your Following Feed.

Classics throughout the public feeds allow you to vote whether the post is a Classic or not, as well as comments.
Mind Clips

Explore Minds

How do I add Minds to follow?
By clicking on the Follow User icon under the profile picture you can follow or send a follow request to users.

Chats & Notifications
In the upper right, you have the Chats & Notifications icons where you can check your chats as well as check any notifications that may be incoming.

What is the promotional box under the search bar?
The promotional box under the search bar is where we promote internal news of LifeMix, Top Minds News, or if there is a donation for a big cause we may promote here.
Launches

What are Launches?
Launches are the rocket ship icon that you can use to interact with Headliners, Mind Clips, and/or Originals.

After I Launch A Post, What Happens?
Once you Launch a post you ultra-love, that same post you just Launched will go to the Launches Tab.
After arriving on the Launches Tab, your friends can see what you've launched when they scroll down their Launches Tab.

How do I see what my friends have Launched?
When you go on your Launches Tab, all of the posts you see are posts that other Minds that you follow have Launched.
Launches is basically one big organic For You feed, or it can be used to spread content rapidly fast, ask your followers to "Launch" your post.
